I (21F) have a crush on my stepbrother (24M). For context I have seen this man only 3 times my entire life, first in 2018, second time last week and 3rd time yesterday. Week ago he happened to visit his dad at the same time I was there and he invited me to his friends wedding because I said I have nothing to do all weekend. Because the wedding was close to me I thought why not and I accepted the invitation. I was anxious so I got drunk and didn’t ever leave his side. We talked a lot and we realized how much we have in common. We held hands and danced, it was amazing. Genuinely never thought I would be so comfortable speaking to a guy. I have also never been in a relationship and this is the first time I have felt like this. It’s so frustrating because technically he’s my stepbrother though I never grew up with him and he was like a stranger to me a week ago. Now I feel like a complete weirdo too.

I would like to also add that I’m not as close with my family as you might think, so this wouldn’t make “family gatherings” weird because we don’t do family gatherings. I rarely see my mom’s husband or his family and I happened to visit him for the first time in years. We also talked before he invited me, we went swimming and did other things together. I left a lot of things out. Not going into too much detail but for example when we sat next to each other he put his head on my lap. He also hugged me multiple times. I probably wouldn’t have a crush if he didn’t show me so much affection. Maybe that’s on me but so many people are calling me names for feeling like this. I’m just gonna log out for now and maybe update in few days. I’m a bit overwhelmed.
