McDonald’s thinks every day is my birthday and I can’t stop getting free food.

The McDonald’ses in my town give you a free big Mac and medium fries on your birthday, but they don’t ask for unique information (like say, a phone number) when setting up a new account. I get off work at 11:30 pm most nights. I pull out my phone, make a new account, and tell them my birthday is the following day (30 minutes from now). Sure enough, between 12 and 12:10 am the following day, I get the “Go u/Fatal_Foxtrot, it’s your birthday!” notification, and order my meal.

Somewhat recently, this briefly stopped working. I looked it up and it turns out they started checking Device IDs, but instead of just banning the duplicate accounts, they just don’t give you the free meal offer.

Luckily, it was an easy fix. I just download the app into a secure folder on my Android, which (for some reason) has it’s own Device ID.

I was “questioned” about this once by the window attendant. “Wasn’t your birthday yesterday, too?” I kind of panicked for a second because I didn’t know what to say, so I just smiled and winked. Fantastically, dude winked back and said “welp, see you tomorrow night!”

They aren’t paid enough to give a fuck 😅
